What is Parkinson's?

Your physiotherapist will assess how Parkinson’s affects your movement, whether you’re newly diagnosed, or you’ve had the condition for some time and organise a tailored programme to suit your needs and goals. Movement Rehab and Fitness

  • Hands-on facilitation and re-education of normal movement patterns.
  • Gait and balance training.
  • Strategies to cope with difficulties such as freezing, and initiation of movement in different situations.
  • Exercise programmes to work on strengthening, coordination, balance, speed of movement and cardiovascular fitness. Some of our therapists are trained on the PD Warrior programme, which is specially designed to retrain the brain and improve the Parkinson’s symptoms.
